I can't remember how old I was when I first met Marion but it must have been 50 years ago. We both grew up in Cambuslang just outside Glasgow and Marion and her two brothers were the centre of a group of friends who have remained in touch until today. Marion was always the adult in the room amongst us, even though she was only a couple of years older. She was down to earth and level headed with a quick and sly wit, and was always clear about what she wanted to do and be. She and John/Ian had an unshakeable bond from very early days.

I will miss her terribly.
